My opinion

I am absolutely in love with this movie! Honestly, I don't know what more to say. This film is so good that I'm at a loss for words because I don't know how to describe it.  The first time I watched it, I didn't know what to expect. On that day I was pretty bored so I decided to watch a few anime movies. After the first, I was in the mood to watch another one so I searched for good movies and found "A Silent Voice".  (Really) I didn't expect much because the first movie I watched was so touching that I thought that nothing could top that. But I was wrong, so horribly wrong. Let me tell you one thing: I bawled my eyes out.  Not because I was sad but because I was so full of emotions that I didn't know how else to react. And that still happens every time I watch that movie. It tells such a touching story, but I believe what made me fall in love so much was, that it's a real story. Now don't get me wrong the movie isn't based on a real deaf girl. What I mean is, it's about bullying and the effects of that. People get bullied in real life and have to live with that experience for the rest of their lives. So I believe I fell in love because the movie was relating to real life. And I think the producers did such a good job with everything! The music is great, you can feel with most of the characters, and don't even get me started on the animation. It's all so well made! And even though Shoko tries to confess to Shoya at one point in the film, it isn't a romance movie. Which is great, I think. Because it's about bullying and how all people involved coped with that. It shows how people can change, how they can grow. So yes, this film deals with many controversial themes that not many people want to talk about. Like suicide, depression, and anxiety, but it also shows that everybody can overcome such things. That life will go on and you will see better days.

So all in all I think it's a beautiful movie that tells a great story. I liked it so much that I even decided to read the manga it was based on! Which was, of course, just as great.

(Despite being at a loss for words I somehow still wrote over 400.   Normally I would write more, but I can't because I promised my teacher not to write too much. Though if you want me to tell you more about why I think this movie is great, just write to me and I will gladly give you a whole presentation on that point.)
